Things to do

Of course, Harry Lake is a fishing lodge. But you won’t fish 24/7!

There are activities and amenities for you to enjoy as well.

Our “Beach House“ is a favourite place to relax after a day of fishing, or as a break from the action.

Beach house

The beach house has a lovely front porch facing west on the lake, with a double rocker, and a porch swing, perfect for watching the sunset, or for a quick afternoon nap, reading a book, or conversation.

Swimming beach

Just out front is a sand swimming beach, perfect for a nice cool down on hot summer afternoons, or a good rinse off after running out of the sauna.

The sauna, in the beach house, is a beautiful spacious, cedar lined, wood fired, model. It’s great anytime, but it’s particularly lovely in spring and fall, or on rainy days to really warm you to the bone.

Hot tub

Sauna, not your thing? Try the 7 foot wood hot tub. It is a great way to warm up, relax, and unwind. Plus the Beach House has satellite radio and a large screen TV ( cd’s only ) for you to enjoy. There is ample seating in the large hot tub/ living room a table and chairs, and a very comfortable sofa.

Paddle boards

For those that enjoy a bit of a workout, there are two stand up paddle boards, and we have a canoe for a nice silent trip around the bays.

Try a hike along the lake on our hiking trail. It has spectacular vistas out onto the lace, and perfect spots to relax. The trail is a half kilometre wilderness trail, simple, yet rugged. An easy hike, but watch your footing.

Bird watching

The unbelievable abundance of bird life is also something to behold. Water birds, songbirds of all kinds, hawks, and both Bald, and Golden Eagles frequent the lake. There are sandhill cranes, geese, and the odd swan, and more.

We have a horseshoe pit, and some of the competition gets fierce. And of course a fire pit with comfortable benches for enjoying an evening fire.
