The Trip

The trip

Our “ standard trip” is 5 day, 5 night stay, for four to six guests.

All trips are custom. It’s your group and your group only. Other than staff, you are the only ones here. The trip can be modified to fit your needs. We will work with your plans, to make your trip totally enjoyable, and super easy. We can design a trip to match your exact needs.

Guests typically arrive first thing in the morning. Often we are the first flight out at the flight service. On those trips, when guests arrive, breakfast is waiting. On the morning of departure day, the flight leaves right after breakfast. Of course, it’s very important to remember that all flights are weather dependent. Fog, and or, very low ceilings will delay flights, both coming and going. It’s nature.

We are located in N W Ontario.

Well off the beaten path. We are REMOTE! Access to Harry Lake is by Floatplane or helicopter. There are no roads. Harry Lake is the headwaters of the Brightsands River, and in so much could be accessed by water VIA canoe. But it is not, or at least not in my experience. Motorized vehicles other than aircraft are not allowed, summer or winter.

We work with several flight services. Our “standard package” includes the flight, from Atikokan On. or from Ignace On. We can arrange flights from Thunder Bay airport, or from Ft. Frances, however, there is an additional charge for flights from those two cities.

Driving from US

When driving from the US, people can cross the international border at International Falls Mn., or at Pigion River near Grand Portage Mn. Travellers utilizing the Ignace flight service are advised to cross at Pigeon River, as it is a shorter drive to Ignace than the I Falls route. When using Atikokan area flights, it is almost the exact same distance from either port of entry. We make all the flight arrangements, and then advise you of those arrangements.
